Get to know Cat…

Around the office, you’re known for: They call me “the Oracle” around the office because I’m the keeper of random information. Need to compare vendors? Got it. IT troubles? Call me. How long has that pizza been in the fridge? Don’t eat it.

Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: When proposing over the top entertainment for a technology conference’s closing party, I thought of New Orleans bounce legend, Big Freedia. She brought fun, exciting, one-of-a-kind entertainment to 18,000 guests. It was legendary.

The one New Orleans secret I’m willing to share… During Mardi Gras season, you can get king cake anywhere in the city, but locals know the best place is in New Orleans East at Dong Phuong Oriental Bakery.

Catherine Damaré, better known as Cat, has been in the hospitality industry for five years. A small-town, Texas native, Cat moved to New Orleans while finishing her degree in Business Administration. She also studied Digital Design at Tulane, including graphic design, illustration and videography.  She began working for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art as Bar Manager, then Private Events Manager, which began her interest in event design and management. After a short stint in Event Sales at a local theater, Cat joined the Hosts New Orleans team as the Creative Services Manager. Her job entails working with the sales team to create proposals for clients, including graphics and videos. She’s also happy to jump in where needed. With her “can-do” attitude, Cat believes you can make anything happen with a little E6000 glue and a whole lot of coffee.
